A gig held at Strange Brew on Thursday 7th November. The event starts at 19:00.

*"Snazzback...Great! There's been so much talk about the London jazz scene but
there's ALOT going on in Bristol"*- Gilles Peterson (BBC 6Music)

*“An explosive sense of energy...buzzing and fizzing with fresh ideas”*- Clash
Magazine

*“SNAZZBACK... love that band - a seven piece collective from Bristol. Really
sick track that. "*- Jamz Supernova (BBC 6 Music)

Snazzback’s seven-sided dance dynamism folds together UK jazz and broken beats with dub flourishes. Their hybrid sound has captured imaginations as far and wide as Glastonbury festival, Ronnie Scott’s and beyond.

This tour sees the collective delve deeper into their love of UK dance music. They take threads from the driving dubstep sounds of DMZ and breaks inspired by the sounds of Source Direct and explore them with a joyous freedom that leans more on the likes of Miles Davis and the late Pharaoh Sanders.

Their new music explores themes of conflict, both within and without. For this show they are joined by prolific MC and poet Rider Shafique. He gives voice to these ideas in his own rooted, low-key style that melds classic dub poetry and spoken word seamlessly.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
