Join some exciting new names in the UK scene on Thursday 23rd January for a unique evening of live and mixed world music, all in the name of raising money for Calais Appeal. All proceeds of this event will go directly to Calais Appeal, thanks to every artists performing for free.
Kosovan-Albanian, Bristol-based DJ and vocalist AER (Rea Hoti), joined by guitarist Ismi WD and bassist Oscar Land, create a sound piece which stands as a reflection of the history and geography of Kosovo. In this piece they paint an evocative world constructed of Albanian poetry, ambient, new wave, and post-rock.
Yung Yusuf, the Palestinian-English lyricist and poet, will be performing his new album SOLARIS, which delves into themes of self-discovery, identity, vulnerability, and fear. With his heavy, measured beats and powerful lyrics, his music offers both introspection and social commentary, calling for attention and justice for Palestine.
DJ Slaggamuffin, or Maya Liberati, is a Bristol based DJ, bringing queer joy and energy to every set since they began learning to DJ in 2024, drawing influence from Bristol's celebrated multiculturalism.
