Avon Terror Corps proudly presents
SIKSA, Concentration and Laughter of Saints

Siksa is a Polish slang word for a naive and sexually attractive young woman. It is also the band name adopted by two artists — spoken word poet and punk singer Alex Freixeit and bassist Buri — who have become adept at making certain sections of society uncomfortable. Siksa duo is the most divisive Polish artist in recent memory, whose radical and brutally honest performances are smashing the patriarchy one gig at a time. Coming from punk, literary and theatre backgrounds, her shows dissect the European consciousness. To quote her own words, she's a girl on a mission.
Siksa's uncompromising, visceral and quite literal, attack on misogyny clears some of the venue and one doesn't need to understand Polish to get the point. Men! The pain you feel on watching Siksa is merely the patriarchy leaving your body! SUBMIT!
John Doran The Quietus
The singer and poet Alex Freiheit is threatening from the stage like a preacher, writhing on the ground, running half-naked. Behind her stands Piotr "Buri" Buratyński, who accompanies her on the bass guitar, and it is admirable how keeps tension in one distorted line for an hour. The minimalist femi-post-punk band Siksa with preaching slam poetry entirely dominates the floor.

***Concentration
German-Australian trio Concentration are a free form thought spiral to the tune of queasy electro smut, guttery dub and buckets of noise with “staggeringly unpredictable live performances'' that have been described as “beautiful, hilarious and terrifying all at once” [Ransom Note].
The Bristol show marks their first in the UK, coming in hot on the heels of their new album ‘Aren’t You Gonna Introduce Me To Your Friend?’ out in mid-2022.
"I can't think of any other act of late that straddles the queasy line between terror and hilarity quite like this Aussie-German industrial smut trio, this year's EP is a dry retch of slimy electro-punk and gnawing psychological torment" - Heads on Sticks ("Circumcision" - Best Tracks of 2020)
"Noise, techno, an Australian Jew yelling about his foreskin neurosis, a cover of Dead Men Don't Rape and, in 'Spiderfucker', one of the bangers of the year." - Luke Turner, The Quietus (“Spiderfucker” - Best Tracks of 2020)

LAUGHTER OF SAINTS
———-///-/—///-/—///——

Laughter of Saints formed in lockdown 3.2 from spontaneous musical moments forged in studio haven spaces, forest walks and sites of sonic beauty. A dream to not only be in but out too, with the acoustics of living wood, rocks, bird and water. Old abandonned pillboxes, tunnels and sites provide stage for speaking with the acoustic ghosts. Channelled songs of the laughing ancestors, if all goes to the plan of presence. Practicing freedom, laughter, lightness, stuckness, staying and going
