BOYCOTT EUROVISION WITH HOUSE OF BOUSSÉ at Strange Brew
See event details

A gig held at Strange Brew on Sunday 11th May. The event starts at 19:00.

Queer communities have been calling for resistance against pinkwashing Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people. Eurovision parades itself as a beacon of creative unity. But for another year, they have refused to deplatform Israel. We cannot ignore Eurovision’s hypocrisy. Removing Russia following their invasion of Ukraine, but allowing a genocidal, apartheid state a platform on a globally renowned stage.

We will continue to boycott Eurovision until Israel is deplatformed, isolated, shamed and held to account.

Boycotting is an active form of protest, we invite Bristol communities to join an evening of solidarity fundraising and performances for three Palestinian families, and Palestine Action Legal Defence Fund.

Ceasefire now. Once and for all, now. We are not moving fast enough. It is our governments, economy and politicians who are enabling Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people. Protestors and members of our own community are being persecuted for standing up for what is just, and for speaking out against the complicity of the UK in this genocide. We gather in solidarity, but we must continue to organise, escalate and use our spheres of influence.
