Shake out your roots at Strange Brew! Undergrowth returns to pump ultra sonic waves through the microscopic mycelial world of the underground. Join us for an evening of live music, immersive ritual, and pagan rave in MYCELIAL PULSE- An Ultra-sonic Rite. We are so excited to be joined by:

Welcoming both returning and new collaborators under our undulating mushroom umbrella, ancient folklore meets new mythology in this exploration of regeneration. As the nights draw in and year closes in on an end, we embark upon a celebration of every season, reflecting on decay and decomposition while nurturing the soil for new beginnings.
From modular synths to celtic chants, we've foraged the very best of Bristol's emerging artists to unite with the Undergrowth crew. Expect interactive art, immersive performances, mesmerising live acts, and sacred sound-waves, with a closing crescendo of pagan rave dance!
As per usual, we encourage all participants to come in costume, this time inspired by the underground realm of the earth and soil, to send our microscopic metropolis hurtling into a new dimension of detritivore delights. So welcome all you creepies and crawlies, you beetles, bugs, and nematodes, whatever slithers under the soil or writhes round roots, from the sprouting seeds to the perennial bulbs. All things floral, fungal, faunal and fantastical are invited into the Undergrowth...

Undergrowth Collective is a creative community dedicated to blending ecological wisdom with artistic expression. We believe in the power of art to inspire connection, reflection, and transformation, drawing on the rich teachings of nature to inform our practices. Our mission is to create immersive experiences that honour the cycles of the earth, fostering a deeper understanding of our relationship with ourselves and our environment.
Through a variety of events—ranging from workshops to immersive theatrical performances to musical gatherings— we aim to engage the senses and invite participants to explore themes of collaboration, folklore, freedom and regeneration. By highlighting the interconnectedness of all living things, we seek to nurture a sense of community and using the arts as a tool of change.
