A
clubnight
held at Strange Brew
on Saturday 8th March. The event starts at 22:30.
Doozy Magazine returns to Strange Brew for a night of pumping house and sleazy disco and psych’d out room 2 installations. We welcome Berlin's premier record dealers and selectors, Sound Metaphors DJs, the London based guardian music critic, DJ, and radio presenter Babyschöen, and Leeds based nu-balaeric producer and DJ, DJ Subaru. Plus a chill out room room soundtracked by the Pool Agency & friends with downtempo balaerica alongside tripped out AV lighting installs for maximum room 2 experience.
Sound Metaphors DJs: a quietly but powerfully influential force in the world of disco adjacent dance music, Castro and Nemo aka the Sound Metaphors Djs are in a catagory of their own. Managing to run "Berlin's Best Record Shop" in the heart of Kreuzberg, whilst also releasing music on some of the highest yielding independent record labels in Europe, alongside finding time to promote and host some of the most unforgettable parties in Berlin...and build and sell their own own custom built audiophile H.A.N.D sound systems. They've supplied secret weapons to top DJs across the world for the last 10 years, we’re beyond excited to bring the Sound Metaphors DJ’s to Bristol for the first time. Come to witness the Berliner's vision for a modern Disco Utopia at Strange Brew.
Support comes from two emerging favourites on the UK disco and oddball dance circuit. NTS resident and guardian music journalist Babyschoen, who’s wide reaching bags of synth pop, boogie, dance-pop and disco bring an effortless joy of movement to any dancefloor. She’ll join the Leeds based producer DJ Subaru who’s blend of tweaked out balaeric disco and house have seen her play across Europe and the UK.
