Paradisco are back back back again, bringing a special buffet of inter/outernational disco and boogie sounds to Strange Brew for another unforgettable night under the disco ball. Mind bending crossovers, euphoric edits, slinky synthesizers and curveballs from all angles from all-star lineup of selectors!
DAR DISKU:
One of our absolute favourites for a long time now, we can't wait to see what these two pull out of their bags for their Strange Brew debut! Taken from the 70s Egyptian zine of the same name, Dar Disku literally translates to 'home of the disco' and this beautifully sums up the sound and ethos of Dar Disku, as both a duo and a label celebrating music from across Arabia. Spotted causing international dancefloor fever on stages from India to Croatia and holding down all-night-long sessions at some of London's top spots, this is set to be one for the books.
SOFIE K
Many moons ago we saw Sofie K tear a hole in the cosmic continuum in a certain Bristol swingers club turned venue, and we've never been the same since. A delightful mix of italo sleaze, house-before-house-was-house campery and chugging synthetic disco bangers from around the glittery globe. They'll have you glued to the floor.
Spud Roots (aka Muphy Mcfly)
An encyclopaedia of record knowledge, Spud digs deeper than most for the weird and wonderful tracks to bring a smile to your face. The man behind Level the Vibes, Back to the Future & Voodoo Workin', Spud is renowned for his ability to hop from highlife and bubblegum sounds to 80s boogie bass, saccharine soulful sounds to acid-laced funk and back again.
See you down the front then? Get down early to avoid queues - will be keeping a few tickets for the door!
