EAT STATIC DJ SET

Formed from the psychedelic rock band Ozric Tentacles, Eat Static are early pioneers of trance whose sound has been part of the fabric of the scene for over thirty years. As an old friend of eXquisite CORpse, they are pulling in last minute to help out and make this an extra special night. Be sure to reach Strange Brew before midnight to catch this very rare set.

LNR

Netherlands based LNR's work as a writer and DJ explores music along the hardcore and psychedelic spectrums. Her most recent book Biodegradable Soundsystem is a retrospective series of interviews, features, and self exploratory essays that uncover corners of old school electronic music culture. With her new mixtape and zine '604' (Bellyache 003) LNR aims to decode the genre of Goa Trance, tracing its musical influences by deconstructing the sum of its parts.

Mackenzie:

Local hero, Noods Radio Resident and 'Corn' Head honcho warms up the room right, with his signature brand of deep, hypnotic, dark room throb.

ROOM 2:

(CHILL OUT ROOM)

Bellyache Residents Angelkin and AKA Zato team up with PTS regular and choice pick from last years 3WD - Fig to create a deep listening chill out space.

LINE UP:

Angelkin

Meaning - 'Someone who feels spiritually connected to angels'

Angelkin the London based Noods Radio/ Bellyache resident coming through with her all absorbing sound, her Enduring Eternal show delves into the outer reaches of experimental, electronica and all else in between. With Bellyache she takes our ethos to territories we never imagined.

fig

Born in Manchester and based in Bristol fig takes her cues from the sounds of two cities, She has an eclectic mix; comfortable running anything from downtempo dub, to leftfield house, to footwork - she traverses through a myriad of styles.
We are delighted to invite fig, who has been shaking up the underground with sets at Dirtytalk, PTS, 3 Wheel Drive, 3 Swords Republic and more...

AKA.Zato

Bellyache / Inis E.T.O resident

A musical and sonic specialist in all things oddball, expansive, cosmic, and otherwise obscure and obscene aka.zato is a rare kind of selector / deejay.

Having spent extended periods in Japan immersed in the wilder fringes of performance, sound art, club culture and experimental music, aka.zato has made a lasting impact on Bristol with their uncompromisingly broad selections and carefully curated parties.

Bean bags and decor provided!

Dear Ticket Holder & Supporters of Independent Music.

We hope you are looking forward to Saturday's party.

It's with a heavy heart that we have to announce eXquisite CORpse has very sadly had to cancel. Unfortunately, Robbert has fallen into ill health and is unable to travel. It is a promoter's worst nightmare for this to happen this close to an event, but something that is completely out of our control and we wish Robbert a full and speedy recovery.

As some of you will know, this party is a celebration of our friend LNR's mixtape and zine for our record label Bellyache. The zine includes an interview with eXquisite CORpse and we were really looking forward to going full circle at Brew on Saturday.

We have looked high and low for a viable alternative to play live from Netherlands to Bristol and even further afield, but after searching as many options that we felt to be the most suitable we have sadly not been successful for a number of reasons.

It's a really difficult time for promoters (as well as independent labels and venues) especially ones like us who are committed to a DIY approach. We would love for you to come experience our sound and support Bellyache, even if you were hoping to catch eXquisite CORpse. However, if you would like a refund, please let us know.

UPDATE WE NOW HAVE A VERY RARE SPECIAL DJ SET FROM EAT STATIC!

Love
