"Ghanian frafra-gospel superstar Alogte doesn’t make gospel as you know it; carried from above by spiritual vocal harmonies, blasts of afrobeat brass, vintage high-life melodies and flashing synths - this truly is the sound of joy FFO: Christy Azuma, Guy One, Ebo Taylor, Marijata, Kiki Gyan, Francis Bebey."

Alogte Oho & His Sounds of Joy LIVE
+ special guests
Sat 21 June // 7pm - 10pm
A beautifully joyous evening featuring music from Northern Ghana. The event will host a tremendous live show comprised of Alogte Oho on lead vocals, classic brass elements, electronic synth layers and a powerful female gospel choir, "His Sounds of Joy".
Alogte Oho was close to giving up on his dreams of becoming a successful musician when he was involved in a serious car accident. However, it was during this two-month recovery period that inspiration struck, and the song ‘Mam Yinne Wa’ (God, You Love Me So) was born.
"O Yinne” was the second album by Alogte Oho & His Sounds of Joy, primarily recorded in Weissenfeldt's "Joy Sound Studios" in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Kingdom, deep in the tropical rainforest of Ghana.
"An exhilarating showcase of Frafra gospel music – pulsating rhythms, infectious melodies, and dynamic vocal performances."
