"Sell out warning! Like a phoenix from the dark ashes, Sandwell District has arisen. You are invited to their Bristol requiem for fallen angel Silent Servant; the first ever appearance of Regis and Function in these realms. Sleek symphonies for cyberpunk warehouses and ominous dub pulses await ye in truly punishing style. This isn’t just techno, this is Sandwell, and the very name should demand your total allegiance. "

A
clubnight
held at Strange Brew
on Today. The event starts at 23:00.
This Easter Saturday Sandwell District (Regis & Function) land in Bristol for the first and maybe the last time for a rare all night long set 23:00-04:00 at Strange Brew.
The Sandwell District saga is some of the headiest, hypnotic & groovy techno about. Nothing hits the spot quite like it. Since its conception as a record label in 2002 Sandwell District has changed the shape of electronic music. Strange Brew & CORN present a rare appearance of the techno icons.
The new album ‘End Beginnings’ feels like the quintessential culmination of the many Regis & Functions affiliated projects over the years. You can really hear the razor-sharp drum grooves reminiscent of early CUB & Ugandan Speed Trials & blissed-out acid & synth lines synonymous with Function’s discography. And the osiris music-esque from the inimitable Simon Shreeve who features on each track as Mønic.
