Old Moll + Clara White & Martin Mexme at St Werburghs Community Centre
See event details

A gig held at St Werburghs Community Centre on Friday 4th April. The event starts at 18:30.

OLD MOLL (8.30-9pm)

Rising from the brackish waters of the Severn Estuary, Old Moll tells stories that fell through the cracks of history through her own brand of folk-tinged melancholia. Prepare to be transported to other realms: from Neolithic grandeur to the mysteries of medieval sleep.

ALBUM PLAYBACK (7.30-8.15pm)

CLARA WHITE & MARTIN MEXME (7-7.30pm)

Clara Maria and Martin Mexme are a duo who have played jazz individually for several years and came to play together during the 2020 lockdown. Their repertoire ranges from moving old-school jazz standards to today’s modern jazz. Clara Maria’s animated vocals, influenced by Ella Fitzgerald and Cécile McLorin Salvant, are joined with Martin Mexme’s Bill Evans-inspired beautiful accompaniment on the piano, delivering a reminiscent and engaging performance.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
