Snowpoet’s music offers a rare insight into song and poetic lyric writing, holding a space for the complexities found in love, loss, change and ultimately renewal. Before Snowpoet, the brilliant, highly original local duo JOW play a 30 minute set. JOW is an acoustic instrumental duo, comprising cellist James Gow (Eleven Magpies, Dao, etc) and trumpeter Pete Judge (Get the Blessing, Three Cane Whale, etc). Their distinctive blend of jazz, folk, and classical chamber music has rapidly acquired them a reputation as serial collaborators and sonic explorers (last seen at St George's with Adrian Utley's Drones collective).
