Caoilfhionn (say ‘Keelin’) Rose’s third album on Matthew Halsall’s Gondwana label is a stunning artistic coming-of-age, a vital, original, searching expression inspired by the wonder of nature’s beauty. Rose has found a voice at once ancient and modern, rooting her sound in both jazz and folk, creating a magical, otherworldly space of her own imagining.
