Dreams and Healing – Sept 20/21 2024
In this interactive workshop we will explore the relationship between dreaming and healing. How can we dream a healthier version of ourselves? How can we identify and deal with deal with the causes of illness? How can we better understand diagnostic messages received in dreaming? This course will be of interest to those who want to know more about the healing potential of their dreams, also to those who practice any form of healing in their private or professional lives and would like to learn further techniques/approaches.
• We will share dreams in a structured and supportive way
• We will practice energetic healing techniques involving hands, breath, a stone, visualisation and our optical shadows.
• We will explore diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of dreaming.
• We will attempt to incubate specific healing dreams. These might include: ‘red dreams’, invoking specific deities as per classical tradition, and animal or plant species.
• We will investigate psychological aspects of the nine Mexican
‘underworlds’ and how these might affect our health.
• We will identify motifs from our night-time dreams that seem to ask for healing, and apply some of the techniques we have learnt to these.
• We will go on a shamanic journey by means of a regular drumbeat.
Please bring with you:
• a pen and notebook
• an ordinary rounded stone (not a crystal) that will fit comfortably in the palm of your hand (approx. the size of a plum)
• an item of personal significance to place on a communal altar
• a yoga/camping mat, a blanket and a cushion
• your dreams
