A
event
held at Sparks Bristol
on Saturday 19th April. The event starts at 15:00.
Did you know that making one pair of jeans requires over 3’000 litres of water?
Let’s save water by repairing our worn jeans instead of throwing them out!
In this workshop, Meret from Rethrindle CIC will show you basic techniques to repair ripped and worn jeans. We’ll use scrap fabrics and thread to cover holes and reinforce worn areas.
Sachiko is a traditional japanese stitching technique, that works really well to keep your garments alive and it also looks really great!
Bring a pair of jeans in need of a mend; all other materials will be provided. No previous skills required!
This workshop will take place during the Wonderful Water Festival in the Sustainable Fashion Workshop (ground floor, opposite the café)
