Cider Circle May | Artistraw Cider at Small Bar
Cider Tasting with Artistraw Cider

A event held at Small Bar on Wednesday 14th May. The event starts at 19:00.

Cider Circle is Bristol Cider Club's monthly meetup, hosted every second Wednesday of the month. This Spring, we have tasting events hosted by some of the UK's most exciting cider and perry producers.

On May 14, natural cider makers Artistraw will be joining us all the way from Herefordshire! Tom and Lydia are passionate environmentalists who bottle their love for nature in every cider. This is going to be a special evening, not to be missed...

Artistraw’s ciders contain fruit solely harvested by Tom and Lydia from unsprayed, biodiversity-rich, traditional standard orchards as local to them as possible. They don’t add any sugar, water, or sulphites and they don’t pasteurize. Fermentation happens spontaneously using the apples' wonderful wild yeasts.

They're both committed environmentalists and apply this mindset to every aspect of cider making —from the creation of habitat in the orchard right down to the natural glue they invented to hand stick their recycled paper bottle labels.

If that wasn't enough, Lydia designs and illustrates the labels for their natural cider and perry, often using natural inks and paints made from plants grown on their smallholding, and then printed on recycled paper. Each design has its own unique story.
