Queer Joy Party at Rough Trade Bristol
See event details

A gig held at Rough Trade Bristol on Friday 25th October. The event starts at 20:30.

Bristol Butch Bar and Punka are teaming up for a stunning night of live music, DJ sets and queer joy! Grab a ticket to our first ever collaboration at Rough Trade.

Featuring a headline set from CATBEAR following their appearance on the main stage at Bristol Pride 2024. Consisting of best pals Zoe and Sarah, CatBear are based between London and Brighton. Their unique popwave style combines 80s synth-poptimism, 90s riot grrrl spirit, 00s danceable post-punk revival, and the experimental and queer liberation of the 10s. Their lyrics cover LGBTQ+ life, millennial disillusionment, insomnia, unrequited love, and self-indulgent longing, with an “it’ll be ok in the end” undertone.

Plus special guests:

Roberta Pia - is an incredible singer/songwriter with a voice that wraps you up in your favourite blanket and hands you a cuppa soup. Roberta is the mastermind behind Bristol's favourite queer rave parties, Grrrl Crush and is also known by her DJ moniker Discobobulater! A huge part of the Bristol scene and we are delighted to have her on the lineup for this special event.

Themmeboy - Postpunk anthems for the genderqueer generation (& your girlfriends secret crush) you won't want to miss this band who guaranteed to get you dancing!

We have DJ sets in the venue til late to keep the party vibes going. :D
