Discovering the Afrikan presence in Bristol’s historic buildings
Join us for a group tour of The Red Lodge Museum and The Georgian House to discover the history and presence of Afrikan descent people in these spaces. Explore the current installation Voices Of The Georgian House which brings to life the unseen Akan heritage of those named as being enslaved on the Caribbean island of Nevis.
We will then take a meditative walk to Ashton Court Mansion
for food, and interactive edutainment with Sons Of Zion, Dr Edson Burton & a roots music set by Bingyi Empress.
Meet 11am Red Lodge Museum.
Ticket price incudes refreshments and lunch. Book for all (recommended) or some of the experience.
Transport can be provided from Ashton Court to central Bristol on request.
