> Mac Macartney - Founder of Embercombe - Centre for Leadership & Personal Development: The ‘Speaking Out’ Programme
"The course gives you a feeling of self-worth. It is a safe space which banishes all writer's blocks… This course is probably the best creative thing that I have done during the lockdown.”
> Andrew, Actor & Playwright, UK - IMAGINARIUM Workshop
“A must for anyone wanting to take their connection with and ideas for theatre work a little closer to a devilish cutting edge. held so competently by both Deborah and Robyn whose professional experiences clearly came to the fore.”
> Suzan, Creative Therapist, UK - Laboratory of the Un-Beautiful Workshop
"I was so buzzed after last night's workshop and feel great today for the challenge of exploring play… I felt like my eyes were sparkling. it's like magic!"
> Ava, Socially Engaged Artist, UK - IMAGINARIUM Workshop
“it was incredible to have Deborah as a Creative Coach - not only to keep me on track with my goals - but to deepen my knowledge of how to birth the abstract into form. Immediately I felt that she reflected back my intentions for the work beautifully, and she helped craft the skeleton of the piece with me in order to manifest those intentions (to sing the flesh on the bones!). Her notes were thorough and detailed. She offered creative solutions and ideas, tools, and was encouraging and affirming of the work. The most wonderful part: I was ready, I was not stressed, and I enjoyed it. (and so did the audience!)”
> Bailey Bermond, Playwright & Environmental Advocate, USA - 1 to 1 Creative Coaching
MORE ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:
Deborah Antoinette is a writer-performer, storyteller & trainer with over a decade of experience. She facilitates transformational workshops which invite participants to discover their unique creative voice & body.
For Deborah, stories hold the potential for deep healing, and comedy offers an irreverent unveiling of the absurd ways the world can be. She digs into myths, flies with the magic of fairytale and revels in writing theatre sketches that shake-shit-up.
Her explorations of story and Self extend to the realm of Systematic Constellations - a collective healing practise which focuses on our personal stories and seeks movement where relationships and narratives become stuck. She is the co-creator of comedy show 'Queen C**t: Sacred or Profane?', movement show 'Raven' and she tells the stories of 'Inanna', 'Sacred Bees', 'Owl Woman' and more - many of which hold feminist themes.
Deborah trained in the Lecoq pedagogy at London International School of Performance Art, now Arthaus Berlin, with Thomas Prattki & Amy Russel. She has worked with organisations such as Embercombe and Soil Association. She has taken shows to venues around the UK including The Wardrobe - Bristol, The Poly - Falmouth, Chapter Arts - Cardiff, Camden People's Theatre and The Space - London.

Queen C*** - Sacred or Profane? at Underbelly, Edinburgh Fringe
“An itchily uncategorisable creative adventure ... a 90-minute blend of sketch comedy, manifesto and group consciousness workshop, which sent the audience off into the snow with fire in their bellies and a new way of looking at one of society’s last taboo words.”
