We are proud to announce the launch of Midnight Ritual, Bristol first Tropical Bass focused night!
Since 2007, Latin America has seen an amazing surge of electronic music producers creating the wildest fusions of local folk with everything from dubstep, hip-hop, drum & bass and techno. Whilst the scene has remained largely underground, people such as Diplo, Major Lazer and MIA have helped internationalise some of the sounds from that region of the world, yet there are many artists and producers who remain unknown to UK audiences. Midnight Ritual will bring you international artists currently touring Europe as well as hosting local talent that is part of this scene. This will be Tropical Bass in Bristol Fashion, a new home for the most exciting global underground scene. As a reference to the Tropical Bass parties in Buenos Aires and Lima that started this movement, we’ll be creating an audio-visual experience at every event, merging senses with lights, projections and beautiful music to grind and fly to!
As the nocturnal dance begins, light up the candles, stoke up the fires and breathe in deep as you move, let the ritual spur you on and set you free!

El Peche aka Arthur Carneiro is resident DJ at Sonido Tropico in Sao Paulo, as well as being one of the label’s owners. He has been touring Europe over the past year, bringing to the continent the best in Latin American electronic music. He will be joining us in the launch for Midnight Ritual providing his well-loved hip-shaking groove!

Panther Panther! is Pablo Villierezz, an audiovisual artist based in Bristol. He is a producer, DJ/VJ and founder of Midnight Ritual. His music fuses cumbia influences from his native Mexican culture, with retro-futuristic sounds that create a unique tropical experience for outer space. His colourful visuals will be adorning the walls of the Old Market Assembly.

Habitus is a Beatmaker, Mc and Dj from The Canary Islands based in the city of Bristol (Uk). He is the founder of Dusty Sounds, a recording studio that focuses on the 90's Hip-Hop sounds with tactful Jazzy and Funk atmospheres. He feels a deep love for records and grooves from the 70s, 80s and 90s, this appreciation shines through in his tracks and live sets.

Midnight Ritual’s visuals and lighting will be provided by an exciting collaboration between Panther Panther! and Hot Cheeks, a stage production company based in Bath and Bristol, known for their work on the Glade Lounge and Spaceport on UK’s festival circuit.
