This February marks the first anniversary of Sunglasses After Dark… and who better to celebrate this momentous occasion with than our would-be debut guests: the mighty Rumble-O’s! These guys were our first ever booking back in Feb ’21 but as luck would have it, covid threw a spanner in the works.
Super happy we’re finally able to bring these ace practitioners of instro surf to No. 1 Harbourside for our big day!

- The Rumble-O’s -
The Rumble-O’s are a Bristol based instrumental surf band, bringing a fresh take on the inspirational guitar and organ driven party music of the late fifties and early sixties. Blending the futuristic sounds of British pioneer Joe Meek, the emotive twang of Hank Marvin with the delinquent cool of a Tarantino soundtrack, the Rumble-O’s put a decidedly British spin on this quintessential American music form.
Formed in 2012, The Rumble-O’s focused on quirky re-workings of traditional surf guitar classics from Dick Dale and Link Wray to bizarre adaptations of unexpected tunes the likes of Henry Mancini's Shot in the Dark, Khachaturian's Sabre Dance and TV themes Munsters and Joe 90. The band quickly developed a unique sound. (Here by known as Severn Delta Surf)
Their acclaimed live performances are testament to the ongoing relevance of danceable instrumental guitar/organ music, of which there are no finer practitioners than The Rumble-O’s!
