"Queercore meets doom-grunge – bow down to the ferocious GorZ! A well-deserved top-billing for these breakout misfits of the weirdopunk scene: expect scuzzy Hole-esque riffs and the theatrical on-stage chaos of a goth Snööper. FFO: Skating Polly, Daddy Issues, Big Joanie."

A
gig
held at Mr Wolfs
on Thursday 10th April. The event starts at 20:30.
GORZZZ
QUEER PUNK band based in Briztol but will conquer the wurld, GorZ are multidisciplinary artists amplifying their voices about societal ills. Incorporating avant garde theatrics and paper mache props into their live sets, the collective is an audio visual project as much as it is a band. Shedding their skin to talk on topics like skin tags, consumerism and trans rights. Having played with The Oozes, Tokky Horror, Skating Polly and Snooper they display a graphic insight into the dirty and enraged mind of GorZ.
THE ISSUES
Punk rock with a kitchen sink feel. The Issues have been gigging across the country DIY style for the past 5 years, playing in every neck of the woods that’d take them. Reminiscent of bands like The Clash, Boomtown Rats and Pulp, but with a modern twist of Soft Play and Idles. Everyone loves The Issues, even your nan- so long as she can’t hear any is the words.
QUICK ROMANCE
If the bass line from The Rezillos’ “Flying Saucer Attack” married the vocal line from X-Ray Spex’s “Oh Bondage, Up Yours!”, with The Shangri-Las as bridesmaids; that’s Quick Romance. Singer, Matilda Scotland and her bandmates are real mean teens, in love with clothes, music and Brian Jones’s hair.
