Mickleburgh Events is proud to present The Tomasz Bura group featuring Guthrie Govan on guitar to Bristol for a one of a kind event hosted in our Bristol store! Tomasz Bura group is currently touring across the UK and we gladly welcome the group to Stokes Croft, Bristol.

The session will comprise of Q&A before a fantastic performance from the group.

An impassioned, heartfelt ensemble with dynamic extremes fusing jazz, rock, and ambient music with composition. Compelling in its navigation through electronics and the acoustic. For this special event, the band will be joined by one of the most proficient guitarists of our time, Guthrie Govan.

Since moving to London in 2011, Polish-born Tomasz, a classically trained pianist, has been making waves across Europe's jazz landscape with his inventive playing and writing. He seamlessly blends jazz improvisation with classical elements, creating a unique musical fusion. Tomasz also incorporates electronic instruments into his performances, adding another layer of depth to his music.

On guitar is Guthrie Govan, whose skills across rock, blues, and jazz have earned him legions of dedicated fans worldwide. His virtuosic mastery of the fretboard pushes musical boundaries and elevates the band's sound to new heights.

The vocals of RUH, hailing from Mauritius, enrich the ensemble with their captivating allure. Her smooth delivery and charismatic stage presence gently transport audiences to an emotional realm. Drawing from diverse influences, Rouhangeze delicately integrates her voice, akin to a unique instrument. Through her artistry, she aims to offer listeners a fresh and engaging musical journey with each performance.

Joining them is Laurence Cottle on bass, renowned as one of the foremost UK bass players. With a mastery of the low-end frequencies, Laurence elevates the ensemble's sound with his unparalleled expertise and virtuosity. His illustrious career includes collaborations with iconic artists across various genres, solidifying his status as a true maestro of the bass.

On drums, the ensemble is propelled by the incomparable Mark Mondesir, celebrated for his unwavering rhythmic drive and dynamic performances. Mark stands as one of the leading drummers in the UK, revered for his versatility and technical prowess. With a career spanning decades, he has graced stages alongside some of the finest musicians in the world, leaving an indelible mark on the global music scene.
