Page Of Swords Weekend at Mazi Project
Free event

A event on Saturday 26th April. The event starts at 11:00.

April Page of Swords - Food Sovereignty, Pizza and Discussion!
26th & 27th April

For April we will be exploring the theme of food sovereignty and how the reliance on a broken capitalist food system shapes peoples lives in the UK. There will be books and zines to read and buy through out the weekend, and an evening with presentations, discussion and pizza.

What effects does our food system have on our lives, on our mental health, on our world? What are the complex issues around access to good quality food? What can we do about this?

With presentations and a facilitated discussion by Two Trees Catering and The Mazi Project, plus delicious pizza to buy by the slice, with all money going directly to The Mazi Project.

Opening times:
Saturday - Bookshop & reading space 11-6, Evening event 6.30-9 (including time for people to continue conversations between each other)
Sunday - Bookshop & reading space 11-6

About Page of Swords

Each month we will open, on the last weekend of the month, for a weekend of hot drinks, soup and radical literature, including publications organised around a monthly theme.

Whilst there will be some publications available to buy, this is not your average bookshop, and much of the material present will be for reading in-house. This is a space for community building and sharing ideas, it is explicitly not profit driven.
We invite you to come and spend as long as you like in a cosy, calm environment, with a cuppa and a good book or comic.

Address: The Mazi Project, St Catherines Trading Estate, Whitehouse Ln, Bedminster, Bristol BS3 4DJ

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
