We return to Lost Horizon for a six-hour feast of music outta Leeds! We can't wait to showcase some of the amazing sounds coming out of that city. This will be a two-band, two-DJ set affair. A heavyweight gig and dance!. This is gonna be a heater!

Presenting the bands:

TC & The Groove Family feat Franz Von.

Launching their debut album 'First Home' (incoming on 'Worm Discs' June 10th) will be the mighty force of nature that is TC & The Groove Family, alongside extra guest Franz Von! A 10-piece tornado of-a-band; expect big rhythms, grooves, basslines, horns and hard-hitting lyrics alongside some seriously infectious energy! Fronted by Parris Elektra and featuring the wonderful Franz Von also expect special things! The live energy this band bring to stage is next level!

The album is so so good (yes we are a little biased) - there will be exclusive advance copies of the vinyl will be available to those in attendance, in the meantime check it via our Bandcamp here:

Heritage - Bristol debut:

Warming up for TC and opening proceedings on the night will be another incredible band from Leeds that we are really loving…
'Heritage' are real smooth operators! Having got together via the Jazz course at Leeds Conservatoire, they graduated last year and manifest a sound and maturity that belies their years. Blending and melting grooves and melodies at the crossroads of Soul, Jazz and Funk, finished off with excellent vocals from a trio of singers, these guys are ones to watch!

Mxtias:

Following on from the bands we have two DJ sets. The first one is from Matias of Moma Cat Discos. Matias is a top geezer, top Dj , Leeds man about town, label boss and promoter. He’s the head of ‘Moma Cat Discos’, helping nurture and promote through bands such as Plantfood and also Heritage, has hosted shows with Snazzback, Wonky Logic and under the guise of his new party ‘Bazuka’ has also recently hosted the likes of Papaoul, Bushbby and Sam Interface. Expect a mash of international rhythmic styles, from South America and beyond.


NikNak:

NikNak will be closing out the evening. A core member of TC, adding FX and scratching as a Turntablist to their sonic cocktail, she’s recently been making moves as a solo artist and DJ. A member of the ‘Eve's Drop’ DJ Collective and listed as one of DJ-Mag’s “Ones To Watch in 2022”, NikNak continues to build upon her vast DJ-ing experience having blown audiences away with her eclectic DJ sets at festivals like Wilderness, We Out Here, Leeds International Festival, Bestival and more - the perfect selector to close out this bank holiday Worm party!
