Worm Disco Club X Club Coco - A party with DJs: Coco Maria, LAANI and Worm Soundsystem.

Saturday October 14th we're gonna party and celebrate nine years of doing music based gathering and events here in Bristol, and we have invited 'Club Coco' along to clash funky maracas and global selections with the club of worms!

We'll be hosting a classic WDC night of hot, funky, groove-heavy tropical, latin & bongo soaked selections. A proper no 'messin funky dance....

We are happy to host Coco for only her second-ever Bristol appearance... Since last year she has continued on her path to spread Latin and Cumbia joy and her quirky, individual style of DJing and radio presenting to the masses. The past year has seen Coco travel the globe playing GALA in London, Body & Soul Festival IR, North Sea Jazz Festival, Down The Rabbit Hole, Potato Head in Bali, We Out Here, Flow Festival, Lost Village Festival and Dekmantel Selectors...

We love Coco, and she will undoubtedly be arriving with irresistible slices of future Latin, jazz, samba, cumbia, and all sorts of rarities from sunny, far-off places, all mixed with her irrepressible energy and Coco Maria style. Twist them hips!

LAANI

Someone who we've seen grow and someone we've wanted to invite to a Worm Disco Club for a good while, Alanna Henry aka LAANI is a Cardiff girl who moved to London to pursue a desire to work in the music industry. The epitome of musical enthusiasm & hustle, and a lover of all things funky, groovy soulful and rhythmic. A regular face on the London jazz and live music scene, was host of 'The Fully Experience' on Worldwide FM and has had extensive experience as a programmer for We Out Here (Brawnswood Stage), and in artist mentorship for Gilles Peterson's Brownswood label, Strut Records and now with the legendary Jazz Re:freshed. Both Coco and WDC are excited to welcome LAANI to smash out the middle set at this party.

Warming up the room will be two of the 3 worms of Worm Soundsystem aka the team behind Worm Disco Club. Expect deep, funky and quirky groove heavy sounds from dancefloor focused Jazz, to Funk, Brazilian cuts, Caribbean bangers, Nigerian highlife, and more!
