THE FLINT FESTIVAL OF RIGHTS at Lost Horizon
See event details

A event held at Lost Horizon on Saturday 14th January. The event starts at 12:00.

Picture this: on the stage, viewers circle around the exquisite Red Dress, embroidered by 353 women and 7 men in 47 countries, all invited by artist Kirstie Macleod to tell their own stories in silk. https://reddressembroidery.com/

In the hallway, feminist activists unite in solidarity and dialogue, sharing ideas and experiences, taking action for change. Top of our agenda; being safe and respected on our streets, in our homes and during our reproductive health care.
Open to all, this three-day interactive exhibition (12-6 pm, with speakers at 3 pm ) is hosted by LOST HORIZON Arts Centre in Bristol, a creative hub for art, live music, workshops and community activism.

FLINT stands for femme, lesbian, intersex, non-binary and trans, and this first ever FLINT FESTIVAL OF RIGHTS features speakers and debates, gathering our voices to demand action. Come and tell us what matters to you, and what needs to happen to combat gender-based violence and to achieve sexual and reproductive health justice. Or simply soak up the beauty of the phenomenal Red Dress before it goes on tour globally.
