Bringing you the world's first ever
IMMERSIVE PUPPET SHOW RAVE!!!!!!!!
Naturally, the dance will be led by the uncanny mycelium creatures.
Come get tangled up and connect with the web that is the communal shedding of inhibitions. Be a part of a single skanking organism and get possessed by the collective expression of freedom, silliness, oddness and joy that is COMMON THREAD.
This Friday the 13th party heralds the reveal of more strange creatures of the world of Common Thread… This will be a stupendous display of surreal and abstract carnivalistic shenanigans, crazy creatures, and mad marionettes. Chances are you will become entranced by a plethora of peculiar puppets and get sucked into a bizarre wormhole!!
We will be collaborating with artists such as puppeteer and creator Morbid Merriments; visual projections provided by Intrinzic label; and colourful tasselly set decor by Jumbo Productions, along with an abundance of ludicrous and grotesque characters to bring you the richest immersive experience while you rave!
This is a BYOPuppet event so get your strange friend out and bring them along to have the party of a lifetime with you! Fear not if you are puppetless, there will be a sock puppet and accessories creation station where you could materialise a freaky friend before your very eyes. You’re not obligated to have a puppet to party, just come and have a weird ole wiggly time and watch the madness unfold…
LINE UP:
- Mista Trick (DJ set) - A fat multigenre mashup of the tastiest bass with silly cross pollination of genres such as Disco, Grime, and Donk!
- Rua Tui - A Bristol duo with a Maori name and a seismic collection of tongue-in-cheek bangers composed using all manner of unusual, oddball and out-there samples.
- Merkäta - Known for his innovative approach to modern Drum and Bass, expect a hypnotic fusion of driving beats and intricate soundscapes.
- 2ATE9 & SCANDAL!ST - Smooth grooves, Dancefloor breaks & Hard kicks. A mad collection of tunes ranging from Jazz, Electronica, Breakbeat, to Techno, Jungle and Dnb.
- Verstyle - Blending eras & genres together in a high energy style, keeping a strong emphasis on weighty basslines & funky riffs!
