Loose Sound are back with their first dance of the year and are extremely excited to be joined by Downbeat Melody.

Set in the underground arches of Loco Klub, this event promises a soundsystem night of deeply wholesome and fulfilling soulful soundscapes, and to take you on a journey through generations of music.

This one is a little different from the usual anything goes vibe… (it will still be wonderful and random)
Downbeat Melody will be playing all genres of roots music for the people, with a highlight on the Blues dance style from the 70s. Selector Steve Rice grew up amongst this time, when deep cuts of Soul and R and B derived from the states and Music from Jamaica played in every dance.

More than ever, this is a party for all ages, mums and dads, aunties and uncles, neighbours, grandparents, and even those of you seeking your first soundsystem experiences.

Loose Sound have always admired Downbeat Melody and it will an honour to listen and learn from Steve Rice’s selection. Loose Sound will also be digging in their record boxes and bringing their usual joyous and upbeat tunes to move your feet and lift your spirits.

Both crews will be filling the dancefloor with music from their lifetimes, This is your chance to shake off the winter blues and embrace the groove.
Expect roots, reggae, dub, soul, ska, jungle, rock, blues and everything in between!
