Charisse C is a UK-based DJ celebrated for her seamless blend of Afro-centric electronic sounds. Born in Zimbabwe and raised in South Africa and the UK, Charisse brings a unique fusion of amapiano, house, and gqom influences to her sets, drawing on her diverse heritage to create a truly immersive and soulful experience.
Known for her bass-heavy and melodic style, Charisse has quickly gained a following in the European club circuit and beyond, performing at major venues and events like Boiler Room, Printworks, and Afro Nation.
Beyond DJing, Charisse has established herself as a storyteller through her work as a founder of Abantu, a multi-dimensional platform that celebrates African and diaspora music and culture. The project began as a radio show on No Signal and has expanded to a podcast and event series, offering a space for underrepresented artists and genres. Her efforts with Abantu reflect her dedication to respecting and promoting African musical heritage, connecting audiences across continents through her music and curation.
Charisse’s sets are known for being dynamic, often shifting between genres to showcase both classic and contemporary tracks. Her ability to adapt and engage with the crowd while maintaining a distinctive sound has made her one of the most sought-after DJs in the amapiano and global dance scenes today.
She's one of a kind and we can't wait to host her at the club!
