Do-It-Yourself Synth Building and Electronics Day

Do-It-Yourself Synth Building and Electronics Day at KIT FORM

An event held at KIT FORM on Saturday 10th October. The event starts at 12:00.

Hack a bunch of noisy toys, build your own video synthesizer, learn basic electronics repair skills and solder some music machines!

Although theres no Machina Bristronica this year we're keeping the flame alive with a full afternoon of DIY workshops at the wonderful KIT FORM, hosted by our friends and soldering experts Synth Shed.

Plenty of family friendly and free workshops, including Circuit Bending, Basic Electronics Repair and a Synth Jam Table! For those looking to take away a souvenir from the day, we'll have a wealth of kits from UK Synth DIY store Thonk, and the opportunity to build a full Music Thing Modular Workshop System - supported by Tom Whitwell himself!

In the evening the irons go away and the speakers come out for a full night of live & direct electronic music! Kicking off with 2 hours of Electronic Music Open Mic for curious first time performers, experimentalists and sonic adventurers. Then Bristol meets London as performers from the Factory Setting and Machina Bristronica camps collide for the first time in the South West.

Simon Mos and happyhappyface representing for London and lifeisfeedback, Steve Davis and Yushhh stepping up for Bristol. A clash of synths, drum machines and modular for the ages!

Entry requirements: no age restrictions (under 18s to be accompanied by an adult over 21yrs, 1:1 ratio)
