Come along to the Shoot & Show club’s launch event! An evening to meet new people, ‘av a couple of pints or packets of crisps, and watching some short films that are all under 5 mins in length. And most of all, an evening to introduce Bristol’s new DIY (very) short filmmaking club: Shoot & Show!
WHAT IS SHOOT & SHOW?
Shoot & Show is a quarterly filmmaking club where all short films are under 2.5 minutes in length. A new prompt or challenge is announced (e.g. make a short film out of your walk home from work), and anyone who wants to take part can create and submit a video no longer than 2.5 minutes in length related to the quarter's theme. Then we'll meet up to have a natter and watch each other’s little 2.5 minute videos at the next Shoot and Show!
The premise of this is not to cast a critical eye on your work or to create a perfectly curated video, but to just have fun with it! Think YouTube before everyone started becoming an influencer. Making a silly story with your friends at a sleepover and turning it into a film. Making a music video in the park. Honestly, you could even submit 10 seconds of a baked bean and it'll probably fit the bill. As long as it’s under 2.5 minutes long and is related to the theme, you're golden.

Of course! The beauty of Shoot & Show is that having FUN is at the heart of it all. It’s just about experimenting, meeting new people, and getting in touch with the fun parts of creativity!
