Killer DJ and sought-after selector, Ghana’s Volta 45
Ghanaian-born and London-based, Volta 45 spins a heady mix of jazzy and percussive sounds from Africa, South America, the French Caribbean and beyond.

Volta 45 joined us in Ghana this March, teaching us about what Accra’s music scene has to offer and informing us about heritage and contemporary artists.
The Ghana Music Speciasl is a project that brings together artists from the UK and Ghana to record, produce and release new music. Jam Nice is the lead partner in this project, working in collaboration with Arts La’Olam and many others.
Recently, Volta curated a five-part podcast documenting the history of Highlife music from 1920 to the present - featured in Songlines Magazine and aired on worldwide FM.
