Iconic UK hip hop duo Dr Syntax and Pete Cannon are back with a new album and are launching it at The Jam Jar in Bristol, in association with On Point Agency.
'P Reg Hondas' is their first release together since 2019's 'Wallop', and follows over a decade of collaborations including their classic full-length debut 'Killer Combo' in 2014.
The new album is as satisfyingly eclectic as its predecessor, with Pete Cannon's masterful production incorporating elements of various electronic genres and styles, while being rooted in authentic, heavyweight hip hop.
Dr Syntax is in fine form with sharp, witty and insightful lyrics, his trademark baritone and wry, comedic style very much the driving force of 'P Reg Hondas'. As versatile with the flows and bars as Pete Cannon is on the beats, Synners proves he is still at the top of his game and the duo undoubtedly remain the Killer Combo.
As well as their extensive work together, their live show also draws upon their considerable respective back catalogues. Dr Syntax has all his classic tracks with the likes of Foreign Beggars, The Mouse Outfit and Tom Caruana, while Pete Cannon's jungle and hardcore output via his now-legendary imprint N4 Records has placed him at the forefront of UK dance music.
All of this combined with the duo's inimitable chemistry and powerful stage presence make for a unique and impactful show, proving why Dr Syntax and Pete Cannon are undisputed legends of the underground UK rap scene.
