Earthly Measures presents Joaquín Cornejo at The Jam Jar
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Another unique exploration into global bass at the Jam Jar: languid dub techno fused with Ecuadorian percussive sensibility sounding like Rhythm & Sound jamming with afro-Cuban electro-jazzers Ariwo. Joaquín Cornejo’s soundworld’s a mystical and infectious look into the contemporary Latinx underground. "

JOAQUÍN CORNEJO
Hailing from Quito, Ecuador, producer DJ Joaquín Cornejo has established a proposal that continuously pushes the constraints of genre boundaries in a loose and fluid manner. Looking for soulfulness in machines and inspired by old school dub methods, Joaquin uses old magnetic tape recorders and analog music toys accompanied by acoustic instruments in an effort to create deep electronic music full of texture and emotion. His sonic explorations range between deep ambient works, latin folkloric flavours and fast passed tribal rave music.
Having been active for only 4 years Joaquín has already established collaborations with globally recognized artists and labels such as El Buho, Quixosis, ZZK Records, YUKU Records, Wonderwheel Recordings and more.

EARTHLY MEASURES
