Movimientos return to the Jam Jar with another ¡Cumbia, Mi Amor! party taking Cumbia as the root but moving through Tropical dance music from Salsa to Afro-Latin & Electronic beats.

This time we welcome two very special international guests Mexican Sonidero specialist Sonidera MX fresh from her electrifying set at the historic Boiler Room CDMX alongside the French born Bogota based Galletas Calientes who's label champions fresh tropical sounds has earned him recognition as a true ambassador of Latin music in Europe.

SONIDERA MX
Originally from the neighbourhood of Iztapalapa, Mexico City Joyce Musicolor aka Sonidera MX has over 15 years of experience as a Sonidera & Dj, she is a cultural promoter of tropical music, a researcher, a radio host, and a workshop facilitator specialised in music and audio.

Sonidera MX is at the forefront of the mexican sonidero scene, blending tradition with innovation to bring the vibrant sounds of cumbia and sound system culture to new audiences. In November 2024, Boiler Room hosted a historic Sonidero Special, featuring the most influential figures of the scene. Alongside legendary names like Sonido La Changa, Amantes del Futuro, and Turbo Sonidero, Sonidera MX proudly took the stage, delivering an electrifying set that showcased her talent and power on stage.

Whilst she has performed at renowned festivals such as Bahidorá, the Vinyl Festival in Havana, Cuba, and BIME Festival in Bogotá, as well as on major stages like Lunario at the Auditorio Nacional and the Zócalo Capitalino, her most important stage as a Sonidera has always been the streets of Mexico City and South America, where sound system culture thrives and connects directly with the people.


GALLETAS CALIENTES
Founder of Galletas Calientes Records, Mathias moved to Colombia in 2010. There his musical culture and productions were enriched with Latin and tropical rhythms, and since he’s been collaborating with leading labels and artists from the Colombian scene, as well as Ghana, Congo and Zimbabwe! Recently, his inexhaustible thirst for fresh tropical sounds has earned him recognition as a true ambassador of Latin music in Europe, where he tours regularly
