Gabriel Moreno, Cultural Ambassador of Gibraltar, songwriter and poet with 9 published books under his belt is making a rare Bristol appearance at the Hen and Chicken, Southville, in a double-bill with Bristol songwriter El Hall.
Moreno is a folk musician from Gibraltar who has written five albums since 2015. He was previously the curator and host of the Lantern Society folk club. In 2022, he was awarded the title of Cultural Ambassador of Gibraltar. His sixth album, Nights in the Belly of Bohemia, is due for release in 2025.
Hall is a singer-songwriter from Bristol who founded and runs the mental health music charity Mind Your Music. He is a campaigner for free music workshops for vulnerable people, and in 2017 won the Quartet award for his community work. He previously curated the Lansdown 'Happening' folk club. In 2012 he won the Bristol Songwriter of the Year. He currently plays in the trio Larkham and Hall along with his wife Sarah and violinist/pianist Charlie Rose.
