held at Green Works
on Saturday 27th January. The event starts at 22:00.
Central Visions is an audio visual club event featuring a range of local talents showcasing a range of electronic musical styles coupled with visual performances!
PHAELEH (DJ Set with Live AV Performance):
Bristol-based DJ and producer Matt Preston has crafted a distinct musical identity over the past decade. His signature ambient atmospherics, technicolour synths and wall-shaking sub frequencies permeate a cinematic take on electronic music that runs through his productions and DJ sets, prompting adoration from fans and critics alike. Indebted to Boards of Canada and Aphex Twin, his tracks float somewhere in the space between dubstep, garage, ambient and electronica, equally suited for immersive headphone listening or, even better, blasted through a capable soundsystem in a warehouse or club.
Phaeleh will be supported visually by Chameleonic!
MOVEMENT81 (AV Set):
Movement81 is the musical offspring of UK-based collaborative artists Jason&Becky. The project explores the interconnected wormholes between 1980s indie synth and 1990s uplifting dance in a spaceship from the future, powered by the collective energy of today. Piloted by the two fine artists and philosophical researchers, their flightpath often connects with the wider themes of their art practice, realised through immersive, interactive audio-visual installations and live sets utilising a combination of analogue and digital hardware synths, eurorack modular and computer-based technology.
TIKODA (AV Set):
Channelling underground and rave influences, Tikoda delivers high-energy, boundary-pushing live performances, masterfully crafting immersive audio-visual experiences in electronic music.
CONRADICAL (AV Set):
A deep dive into the golden age of video game soundtracks from the 90s and 2000s. A multi genre AV set that transcends nostalgia, blending mesmerising beats with immersive visuals from the very games themselves
Think SSX tricky, Wipeout, Unreal Tournament, Visuals by Milo Hartnoll.
