on Sunday 21st July. The event starts at 17:00.
July will bring you nothing but joy at The Green Man as we have two of the most authentic songwriters the southwest can produce!
Ruby Darbyshire;
Ruby's first performance was standing on a street bollard at the Edingburgh Fringe Festival, playing harmonica at the age of 4. Following which, she went out most weekends finding her voice and playing guitar, busking and raising money for Save the Children. Inspired and being homeschooled, she was able to circumnavigate the planet performing in many different countries.
Now at college studying music, at the age of 17, Ruby is a multi-instrumentalist branching out from being a Highland Bagpipe player, now a singer-songwriter supported and encouraged by some influential names and is passionate in all her endeavours.
Ruby has been picked up and praised by many incredible artists and influential people along the way, the best and most accurate quote we’ve heard thus far is Chris Hawkins,?BBC Radio 6 who described her debut single as “remarkably impressive” - don’t miss this one people!
and
Nile Robinson and The Countrymen;
Heartworn alternative country and folk songs led by Nile Robinson, the Countrymen bring a real and authentic breath of fresh air into the Bristol music scene with each composition there is a very clear, unmistakable expression right from the innards of these fine young folk and they’ve been making their way across this town spreading the good word for everyone to hear!
Our host for this afternoon is none other than Oleka Syren - known for his unbelievable abilities to create he is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter who is famed for performing as a solo cellist but who knows what plethora of instruments you will be treated to on the day!
