An extra special line up tonight with the pairing of brilliant tenor saxophonist Nick Dover and the wonderful trumpeter Nick Malcolm up front and a rhythm section that combines the superb Jazz bassist Will Harris with groove drummer Matt Brown. Then you add Malcolm Edmonstone on piano to the mix and - ALCHEMY - this is going to be a magically good evening.
Jazz pianist, arranger and educator Malcolm Edmonstone is Head of Jazz at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Director of Jazz for The National Youth Orchestra of Scotland. As arranger he has written large scale projects for jazz artists Liane Carroll, Iain Ballamy, Mike Walker, Claire Martin, Ian Shaw and Jacqui Dankworth. He has also worked with Liza Minnelli, Tony Bennett, Dave Liebman, Peter Erskine, Stan Sulzman and many others.
