Following her superb sell out gigs at FRINGE JAZZ in February and August we're really pleased to welcome back the extraordinarily talented South African singer SISANDA MYATAZA. Probably best known in Bristol as the singer with the excellent Afro Beat band Mankala Sisanda represents the new generation of African musicians bringing their influence to European Jazz and while having tremendous knowledge and appreciation of South African, British, European and American Jazz she brings with her the the new contemporary sounds of African music including Xhosa Jazz and Soul, Soukous and Sungura. Sisanda's music is a fascinating fusion of South African Jazz with influences of Hip Hop, Nu Soul and R&B.
This is going to be a wonderful evening of South African Jazz infused songs, stories, thoughts and poems with elements of protest music - Don't miss it.
Tickets are also available at TREBLEROCK Guitar Shop, 52 The Mall in Clifton Village. Treblerock is open Mon - Sat.
