The Malefic Grip
Bristol’s Sludge, Industrial, Noise, and Doom duo are ready to rock the sweaty Exchange basement one more time! They haven’t played a “hometown” gig in over a year and a cold February night seems like the perfect time after the release of their critically acclaimed EP “Virtue and Industry” back in December. Liam (Vocalist/Bassist) and Helen (Guitarist/Backing Vocalist) will strike you down to the ground with their ear-piercing abrasiveness and enveloping anti-rhythms.

inertia point
Making their Bristol debut comes the Southampton two piece inertia point. Made up of Lee (Guitarist) and Danny (Drummer) this band doesn’t know the meaning of the word quit as they pummel and twang (how can you twang drums) their instruments creating a wild spacey sound, somewhere between Hella, Butthole Surfers and Soundgarden. It’s like if cavemen lived today and you asked them to play with instruments, just to see what would happen, less thought, more grit. Something to pull your teeth out too.

Important Information, Please Read:
At this gig and across all events, Bristol Vinyl Guy Promotions has a zero percent tolerance policy on abuse, racism, harassment, homophobia and transphobia of any kind. If any of these rules are broken, you be asked to leave the premises, we have no time for people like that. Our gigs prioritise the safety of others, we’re here for the music and to enjoy ourselves, not to cause harm.
Going on from that, you will see on our Headfirst page a statement that reads “No One Turned Away Due To Lack Of Funds” under the prices. This means that we are open to communicate to people who can’t afford our ticket prices and are willing to negotiate a fair price for them. No matter what, we ensure people of entry as everyone should be able to enjoy themselves at a gig without worry.
