held at Exchange
on Saturday 7th September. The event starts at 21:00.
Go Go Children are back with another all-night session of the best in rare and underplayed soul and funk music from the 1960s and 1970s all on original vinyl, from resident DJs John Stapleton, Dr 'Chris' Pickles and Dean Read plus special guests.
For our first guest dj we can announce the return from L.A .of Mr Greg Belson and only a few days before his 50th birthday! Greg has played a few times for us now while on his UK summer tour but sadly we missed him last year so chuffed to get him this time, always something special. This gig is the start of the second part of his summer tour where he will be promoting his new compilation with a record box full of big hitters and new spins, his sets at Soulfunktion and the Manchester weekender earlier in the year were awesome.
Our second and third guests are Brian Maguire and Warren Cocker from Colchesters rhythm and groove collective as well as playing Manchesters Twisted Grooves and next years weekender they've also played Boogaloo Revue in kent, Soul of Dublin, Amsterdam S and the Prague weekender.Theyve both been collectors for over 30 Years so expect a great mix of everything soulful!
Our fourth guest is Mark White, a regular at GoGo since the Spring Garden days. He played a set for us when we were back a Fiddlers a few years go but Mark is constantly searching for rare soul so his playbox will be very different now!
The club runs from 9-6, great little club with a wooden dancefloor and fantastic sound system, free parking around the streets of the club or secure 24 hour parking at Cabot Circus multi storey only a few minutes walk from the club and only a couple of quid all night!
