Baile do Futuro goes to the Exchange for one final throw-down before the year ends. This time around, we’re bringing a team of Brazilian funk all-stars who have been causing ripples in the underground clubbing scene in Lisbon, Paris, and Bristol.
__ SoundPreta: SoundPreta has built an extensive rapport both in Brazil and in Lisbon with her impeccable music curation and vision. She is also the head honcho of Quenga, a party aimed at celebrating and creating spaces for Queer and BIPOC bodies in the Portuguese capital, and has music and community spaces at the core of her artistic and personal self. Besides planning some of the most unique and diverse parties in Lisbon, SoundPreta herself is a genre-bending artist who as a dj traverses the rhythms of baile funk, trap, drill, grime, Miami bass, footwork, jersey, RnB and whatever else you can think of with impeccable taste and skill.
__ Isa Castelari: born in São Paulo and currently residing in Paris, Isa Castelari exemplifies the versatility of the underground scene in France. The Rinse FM resident is known for her love of UK sounds, blending baile funk with rhythms like UKG, DnB and breaks, making for a dynamic high-energy experience marked by originality and unpredictability.
__ Bieu s2: Lisbon’s baile funk royalty is once again in the house for another delightful masterclass. Founder of s2 Baile, Bieu’s status as a local hero in Lisbon is undeniable and a direct result of the effort and love he has put into building and (trans)forming the local scene. Already known to those who were at the very first Baile do Futuro, Bieu has left us wanting more since March and he’s finally back for more!
__ Gus: the Brazilian-born Bristol resident completes the bill for the night. Catch him monthly on the internet waves with his MEIA NA CANELA show on Noods Radio, or its futuristic sister show Baile do Futuro on Radio Raheem Milano (IT).
