Be Your Voice - voice and singing workshop at The Elmgrove Centre
See event details

A event held at The Elmgrove Centre on Saturday 7th December. The event starts at 14:30.

Be your voice is a holistic vocal workshop that invites you to get in touch with your authentic voice and explore its different emotional qualities through singing, speech and movement in a supportive and inclusive environment.

In this workshop you are invited to practice a range of different breathing, vocal and bodywork exercises that promote wellbeing, joy, relaxation, a sense of ease, connectedness and a deeper understanding of the expression of your own unique voice.

Together we will learn to:
-Release tension and ground ourselves in our body and breath
-Be more expressive in our singing and speaking voice
-Bring more relaxation, openness and awareness to our voices
-Sing with more confidence
-Be more free, loose and creative with sound
-Energize and expand breath flow
-Create connections with others

I believe that using our voice in a free and connected way can unlock unknown potential within ourselves and help our authentic self manifest in our daily lives. Singing is not about producing an harmonious sound agreeable to the ear, to be performative, to look charming nor captivating to an audience. Our voice is an outward mirror that reveals the story of what’s going on inside of us emotionally.

To Be Your Voice means to be deeply in touch with ourselves in order to communicate our inner truth to the world without the fear of judgement, rejection and shame, emotions that we often carry inside and prevent us from expressing our true nature.
Join me at this workshop and allow yourself to pause, relax, breath, listen, release and tap into the potential of your inner voice.

“The world always seems brighter when you’ve just made something that wasn’t there before.” – Neil Gaiman
