A event on Thursday 22nd August. The event starts at 19:30.

Join us in the shop for a very special walkthrough of the Buchla Music Easel. Re-launched last year in brand new Retro and Modern formats celebrating the 50th anniversary - this groundbreaking semi-modular synth brought electronic music to the masses in the early 1970s with it's portable design and incredibly unique sound.

A cult collectors item for many years, the Easel is back in production now and more open than ever. Utilised by artists such as Morton Subotnick, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Floating Points, Alessandro Cortini (NIN), Surgeon, Animal Collective, Charles Cohen, Todd Barton, Sarah Davachi, Blawan and more

Buchla expert Tom Lewis will be joining us in the shop to talk through the history of the machine, explore some of it's unique features and show some tricks & tips when it comes to the Easel (and West Coast synthesis).

Alongside the in-store event we'll also be streaming the whole talk like on our YouTube channel so if you can't make it in person you can join us in cyberspace.

Free tickets so we can gauge the interest, very limited capacity so please get down early. BYOB, venue is accessible from street level with one very small step at the entrance.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
