This is a rare opportunity for electronic music lovers, or those wanting to try something new, to take part in a mass musical composition, as local indie shop Elevator Sound wire up their synths so the whole shop becomes a huge music instrument. Come and get your hands on some cables, twiddle some knobs, and drop some beats.

Elevator Sound is a specialist electronic music hardware shop (the only one of it’s kind in England), a haven for synthesiser nerds, drum machine aficionados, modular patchers and curious minds ready for an adventure into electronic sound. With everything always set up and switched on, it’s a space for play and exploration as well as for serious producers, performers, composers and artists to get some weird and wonderful kit for their studio.

Each group will create a section of a piece which will be produced into a final group composition, to be unveiled during the Stokes Croft Calling Show on Saturday 9th of November.

You do not need to have any musical experience in order to take part. The workshop will be appropriate for complete beginners, as well as more experienced electronic musicians.

This is a family friendly experience and children are permitted. Participating children must be accompanied by a participating adult who will be responsible for their child at all times.
