A BRILLIANT MUSICAL AMALGAMATION OF INFECTIOUS AFRICAN RHYTHMS AND VIBRANT WESTERN JAZZ SOUNDS: VIVID, PASSIONATE, LIFE-AFFIRMING.

Chris Cobbson: guitar
Phil Dawson: guitar
Raph Mizraki: bass
Richard Ọlátundé Baker: percussion

One of the UK's foremost jazz/world guitarists, Chris 'Santo' Cobbson draws on his Ghanaian roots, the influence of Fela Kuti's deeply funky, syncopated style of Afrobeat, and African and Western jazz for this masterful set.

Combining fearsome technical skill with charismatic showmanship and exhilarating joie de vivre, this is electrifying stuff, a heady mix of gorgeous melodies, breathless dance rhythms and raw energy.

One of the original members of Courtney Pine's hugely influential Black British big band, Jazz Warriors, Chris Cobbson has performed with many national and international music ensembles, including Ghanaian-British Afro-rock pioneers Osibisa and Ronnie Scott's Big Band, and with Three Degrees' singer Shelia Ferguson, neo-soul singer Omar and restaurant critic turned jazz pianist Jay Rayner. Sharing the stage are top-notch musicians Phil Dawson (guitar), Raph Mizraki (bass) and Richard Ọlátundé Baker (percussion), who between them have worked with artists such as Hugh Masekela, Jamie Callum, Sting, David Sanborn, Sade, Damon Albarn and Tony Allen.
