It is hard not to be infected with the pure joy Birmingham's fiery (un)traditional folk sextet brings to their musical maelstrom. Drawing on a rich melting pot of British, Balkan, Greek, Nordic and wider European folk traditions, their vibrant sound is intensely creative, astonishingly eclectic, wholly unpredictable, ferociously danceable, and irresistibly fun. An intoxicating blend of seriously hypnotic global grooves, instrumental fireworks, emotive vocals, and rich harmonies, propelled by a punchy rhythm section, their live set is a frenzy of energy - 'dynamic and high-octane' (Fatea Magazine). Unashamedly entertaining, the Bonfire Radicals' music dares you not to dance.
In support, an exhilarating and evocative solo set by violinist Kenny Brady, former member of iconic post-punk band The Fall.

'With an electrifying global sound, the radicals deliver a swaggering, sweaty set guaranteed to get listeners up and dancing. Exhilarating and exuberant.'

Cotham Club: a brilliant, eclectic monthly live global music club with a passion for community at its core.
Music, with all its subtlety and spirit, has immense power to unite people. It is the universal language of mankind. The sounds of Africa, America, Eurasia, and Oceania have always found a home in Bristol, and there are few better examples of the city's cultural cross-pollination than Cotham Club, a celebration in sound of what unites rather than divides. Each month we showcase some of the most diverse and brilliant musicians from Bristol and beyond, linking audiences to great music and to each other.
