In the world of record digging and reissue labels, few people stand out as much as Frank Gossner. He made his way through legendary funk parties in his home city of Berlin, his next home, New York, to years spent living in, and record hunting in, West Africa, uncovering many lost gems of West African funk and psychedelic music which he reissued on the Voodoo Funk and Academy labels, as well as his sadly now defunct Voodoo Funk blog.

Now resident in Mexico, Frank is returning to Europe for a trip to catch up with friends and play a couple of rare DJ shows - one in Berlin and, very excited to say, one in Bristol at Cosies! His previous Bristol show in 2015 was a revelation, amazing to hear the funkiest and rarest African music from the 1960s to the 1980s, all played from original vinyl of course.
